Pablo, you have made some good arguments. It is true that there is unrest in Jakarta and the Rupiah has been much lower and could pull-back to its low, BUT

1) the current level of unrest and monetary problems will only improve in the long-run...it is no country's best interest for the 4th largest populated country to become a wasteland. i would assume that the IMF will use their bailout tactics to get to the desired results and will never bail completely on strategically important countries or regions of the world

2)predicting currency changes is foolish. you may be right that we could have bought an ISP or telco cheaper in the near future, or you could be wrong. but, you have no more of a reason to think that the currency will move negatively versus positively

3) all of the protestors (many college students) you saw on the BBC all did one thing when they went home after a long day of yelling at Suhartas military...they had dinner and MADE PHONE CALLS!!!!

4) we have investments in russia, australia and other foreign countries...thus, we have diversified some of our risk away from anything that may develop in Indonesia that would cause abnormal, non-reoccurring financial problems

Have i made you sway even a bit?
