Eric:
It astounds me that non-flashy companies like Aurizon and Richmont, which produce multi-million dollar PROFITS annually, go relatively unnoticed by the majority of investors. We seem to prefer the masochistic thrill of chasing ghosts (promoters' snake oil) for our investment/entertainment dollars. Granted, the investment audience loves big numbers and tends to gravitate toward the stocks that make the most noise. To be honest, I wasn't much of a momentum player till I started lurking around SI. Still not much of one either, if I may say so...to think I sold Corriente to buy CYJ, major brain fart, no wonder Ron's closet is filled with all of those certificates dating back to the Civil War, one never knows when they'll finally break out...sure I flip em when I don't trust the market action, but I think it's time to go back to my basic approach, which incidently seems to coincide with Uncle Ron's a little, in that one buys fundamentals, financing, and mangement and HOLDS till the ship comes in. I think that companies with profitable MINES, gee, what a novel concept, stand to benefit the most if and when the price of gold finally gets up off the canvas. BTW, I bought this and MGJ, last year on, guess who?, Bwana Bob's Best Buy recommendation. Take a look see at Cornucopia Resources and Carlin Resources, you too, Ron, they seem pretty well priced to me...enjoy the weekend compadres, it's 90 degrees in San Diego today...RS
