>>>I too hate MSFT, but it always puzzled me that same people can hate MS and love Apple, which has always been much worse in enforcing monopoly.

The big difference is that the Mac is true plug and play and easy to use. On the other hand MSFT releases beta products and then force users to buy the upgrades. They also have a history of saying that a product is ready to ship thus hurting those small companies that already have decent products. Meanwhile, their product is just vapor ware. How many 95 users have difficulty getting rid of IE or Money from the desktop? Never had this problem with the Mac. I work in a large government facility. We use mostly PCs and I"m one of the few mac users. I support my own machine and in the past 5 years never had to ask the computer folks for support. I don't know a single pc user running dos, windows, or NT who can say the same thing.

Apple screwed up years ago by not licensing their technology and paid the price for it. Apple is a great example of corporate arrogance, and mismanagement. They finally seem to have learned from the mistakes of the past. Albeit a little late.
