Re HP - I think the Laser Printer gal/guy should have run the enterprise division too!

Re Education, I'm not surprised that Microsoft is showing up more and more. I'm sure for Education they give it away. Heck, for systems integrators and VAR's Microsoft has a great program. For less than 2,000 a year you get a non-stop stream of technology shipped to your door.

Before the anti-MS croud drops by to tell me it doesn't matter 'cause its Microslop, the point I'm making is that they are making it easy for huge numbers of people to access their technology. Cheap hardware is only one aspect; they need cheap and diverse software applications and tools to work with too.

Anyways, that is the view from someone is on both sides of the fence.

So it looks like the beginings of a good (return) strategy for Sun.
