edit...dont know what is going on yet in hong kong..but asia is tanking and the S&P doesnt like it

I agree with you Diamond-I would never buy something
like K-Tel, AMZN, YHOO etc. But there are a lot of
speculators out there and usually these things end
badly, but nobody knows when-like musical chairs.

If anyone is interested in Buffett ...thestreet.com has several articles about this weekend
and you can get in for free for two weeks

one of my favorites excerpts:

In response to a question about how Buffett would teach stock valuation in business
school he said, "I'd take any Internet company and ask what it was worth. Anyone
who gave me an answer would flunk."

and there are various hints at what he thinks of the market:

If all that works, then you look for value. "When you are all
through, you have to find a price that's interesting to you,"
Buffett opined. And, in another attempt to hint at his current
beliefs on valuations, he added, "That's tough now, but there
have been times it's been a cinch."

btw, briefing.com doesnt have anything about Ktel's announcement after the bell:-(
