James on your theory that the people that make the rules hold the cards I will agree.... But Index options - though not for the inexperienced, can be profitable.
I went through the arguement that you presented just previous to the '87 "crash" I had a big time football player who had a local "Name" telling me about them....though I was young at the time - I wondered "if they are soo easy - why isn't he on his boat with women??
I am not as experienced as some and so do NOT care to convice others to get into index options but I feel that the IDEA of options (as insurance) IS a loaded gamblers play in a "normal" market. But as a "play" in a volitile market, when you know the risk..(Losing all) then I am not sure that they should be condemned..
