Hey Guy,

I've got nothing against Actrade. The problem with the ACRT longs is that they are fools. Perhaps they are unwilling to cut their losses and move on, perhaps they have fallen in love with this homely stock, or perhaps they are just inept investors. Traders are a different sort. If they are successful at picking the low hanging fruit, then good for them. Long term positions are what I am talking about here. (My discussion excludes Actrade insiders, of course, but even they should sell if they get the chance.)

No, I have nothing against investing in a company with solid fundamentals and I wouldn't hesitate to invest in Actrade if they fit the profile. They could start by selling the TAD business, if they could find a buyer. Otherwise, just dump it and concentrate on HVAC export or other related businesses. You know, ones with verifiable customers. Actrade would also have to overhaul the management team. Management is always the key. The track record of management is well documented on this thread so I will not revisit the issues here. I'm only pointing out that I would not hesitate to invest in Actrade if it were fundamentally prudent to do so. As those who have followed this thread for a couple of months know, I made such a commitment to invest to davef if only he would show that the TAD financials could be supported by customers. I merely asked to know who the top five TAD customers were for the prior quarter and what that business consisted of in revenues.

You are correct in assuming that I do not monitor this thread in hopes of a fundamental turnaround by Actrade. Such effort would appear to be futile. I stay here mainly in vigilance to keep davef at arms length by playing defense for the small investor. Public service, if you will. Of course I also enjoy His musings and elegant prose.
