Mark, about 4-5 years ago I was in the home of a man that had a law degree, but later became an independent entrepreneur. His wife was a believer---and---he was a non-commital "nice guy." As the evening progressed, I turned the conversation to the things of God---asking him: "If you were to die tonight and stand before God, and he were to say to you 'Why should I let you into my heaven?', what would you say?" He pondered that question for awhile and then replied: "I think I can talk him into letting me in." I endeavored to share God's basic and simple love and plan for his life, but he said: "Not now, I'm not that interested" As I left that evening with a friend I had taken (I always endeavor to have someone with me when I am doing some visitation)---we both didn't "feel" very good about how the evening had gone, but we knew we had "tried" and left it in the hands of God. Incredibly, before the week was over, this man (seemingly in good health), had a massive heart attack and died. We were very sobered when we heard the news. Question: Do you think he was able to talk himself into heaven?
