My, my, my. First of all, two things I've learned after 12 years in this business are that you're only as good as your last trade, and even then you're either a hero or a bum depending on how it played out for those who took your advice. If you are long, today I was hero. Tomorrow, probably a bum. Secondly, I told everyone that earnings would be out tonight several days ago: Message 4271026. Curiously, I was unable to confirm this previously released information in my calls to the company and their PR firm today. The PR spokesman would only say that earnings would be released "in a day or two". At no time would anyone from the company provide guidance re" earnings. Nor would they provide details of a conference call. Lastly, stocks will fluctuate. Some more than others. PS - Funny how none of the naysayers ever harp on the fact that CDnow was started in some guy's garage just four years ago...and now has almost a half billion market cap.
