I cannot understand how one can compare volume after a split to
pre-split, since the volume numbers pre-split get doubled. As
none other than Jim P. pointed out on the DELL bear thread,
people tend to buy 100 shares (or 1000 shares, etc), and continue
doing so post split.

So, while the average volume is 16 million, in reality it used to be
8 million pre-split. By that standard, volume is well above average
(around 10 million over past few days, averaged).
