Playing the chart game can be fun, but rumors over the past several weeks have not been good regarding Turbopac trials in Brazil. Problems due to mechanical failures of the units and different driving habits down there ended in termination of trials after several attempts. My understanding is that this failure ends attempts to qualify the Turbopac with the governments of Brazil and Mexico. Have jumped out for now but wouldn't dare go short in this volatile stock.
Not sure how much a failure in Brazil will affect the market price, considering other positive indications (US domicile due soon, existing and new contracts for Turbopac and Light Metals Div.) Short-term looks weak, long term looks good.
Production problems are bound to happen with a fledgling product. Even worse with a new company, but this sort of thing looks really bad for lower management.
Anyone else have news on status of Brazil trials? The company is not going to trumpet this but I think they should come clean with current investors: what went wrong and how trials will be handled differently elsewhere. I lost my shirt (check out Luminart thread, company now defunct) in another company that withheld important information from investors so I'm not very forgiving.
