Have been a lurker for a few weeks. Enjoyed your informative
posts. My guess from
1. various trade magazine articles and posts in other newsgroups

2. That the demand is primarily in high end pentium and pentium pros
3. That demand perked up only after the release of NT 4.0.
4. Corporate sellers such as DELL, Gateway and COMPAQ have
buy recomendations

is that it is the corporate upgrades.

I find it hard to believe that PC companies, after last years slower than
expected demand would ramp up on production blindly.
