(Nasdaq: TDFX - news) today announced that it will ship its four millionth Voodoo(TM) chipset later this month; the number represents cumulative sales of Voodoo2(TM), Voodoo Graphics(TM) and Voodoo Rush(TM) products. 3Dfx Interactive has more than doubled its 1997 installed base of 1.5 million within the first five months of 1998, making it the fastest growing of all current game platforms.
3Dfx Interactive also announced that in June 1998 it expects to see over 250 3D games shipping in support of the 3Dfx Interactive platform, including games that have been developed exclusively for the platform.
