Until a few months ago I had my email address showing. Many of you have written and may still have it. I decided to take it off when the air got too polluted for my taste.
Kelly, you are a nice person, but it's not wise to post your phone number in these boards. If you think talking to a person on the phone is enough to determine who they are and what their intentions are, think again. I think we are all wise enough to judge posters by the content of their posts.
Some hype in an offensive way and others in a very nice and gentle way, but it's easy to see through both.
Now, let me express an opinion. I don't think USRX buying Amati (or any other ADSL company) is likely at all. Why? Simple. They are killing themselves trying to convince investors that 56Kbps is the way of the future for the next several years. I saw the management this week, when asked about ADSL, they said "it will take a long time for it to be deployed, for the next several years 56Kbps is it". Turning around and buying an ADSL company would be shooting themselves on the foot. Don't you think? We can discuss CSCO another time. Techie
p.s. oh by the way, I think the rumor is most likely an option play. The Nov. 20 calls were 1/8 Friday morning, they closed at 1 1/2. There isn't much activity on the Nov. 25 calls, and there was no activity at all on the Dec. 20 & 25 calls. For your sakes I hope something does happen but I would watch out for those who are hanging out here that may sound nice but may not have your best interest in mind. Some of the SI threads have turned into tools used by the pros, I am afraid this one is one of them. |
