To All Who don't understand what Alan is trying to push these are just some examples from his sites.
Question: What are your teachings concerning the New Covenant, which is under grace and not law. What is your view of law and grace? What about Paul's teaching on how the law kills, but the Spirit gives life?
Answer:
G-d's gift of salvation has always been about grace. There is no "Law vs. grace" conflict between the Tanakh and the New Covenant. In fact, there is nothing "new" in the "New Testament."
I believe that all followers of Yeshua should eliminate the celebration of Christmas from their year, and be a witness to the pagans by following G-d's word on celebrations that have been ordained by Him. Jewish believers have no business accepting Christmas as a holiday at all, and Gentile believers need to examine this issue closely. Messianic Jewish congregations should completely ignore this pagan festival.
What is the Torah-Observant/Orthodox Messianic position on followers of Yeshua? I am a gentile.ÿ From the Orthodox Messianic point of view can I legitmately follow Yeshua and not convert to Orthodox Judaism?
I understand that would involve applying to a beyt diyn for a status of geyr toshav and to eventually covert or attain a status of geyr tzeddek.
As in everything else, the Messianic way of doing things has not yet become standardized, so you will undoubtedly get a different answer from each Messianic Rabbi. Since we do not require conversion for a non-Jew to be a member of our congregation, our method is to watch the liefstyle, beliefs and practice of a member for a sufficient enough period to know that the person is already living the life of a ger tzaddik. The person then has the choice of continuing in his/her status as a ger ("alien") or go through a conversion ceremony. This includes male circumcision, tevilah (mikveh, immersion) and public acceptance of the yoke of the Torah during a Sabbath service. For a male, this includes doing a teaching on the Torah portion.ÿ
No Christmas, law of circumcision, yoke of the law (Torah), no New Testament, status recognition, and the word Christian is generally used only if it's in quotes. It's no wonder Alan in hostile to sound doctrine.
