Scott:

Story stock: Triby is and has been a story stock. Stories don't die with a quarter's earnings. The story is still Uni-gold but other chapters have been written ie: Clark, Centocor, Irish move, Irish grant, cash in the bank, diversified holdings in other Biotechs, (SLF, CLI) and growth of earnings and revenues. PE of 34 with 70% growth is undervalued but who ever said this was a value stock. It has been maintained on this thread that there is value in the stock but still it is a microcap, biotech, risky, growth type stock.

Earnings are not flat. EPS are flat because of dilution. Why do you beggar the capitalists who have been making this story a success by devoting their time, energy, intellectual assets and hard work to making this company work. They will be rewarded in a big way and they are setting up to do this. You want rewards now, perhaps their schedule is a bit different from yours.

1. FDA approval - The FDA is slow, slow, slow. I doubt the Clintons have anything to do with those bureacrats and also don't understand why you think the gay side of America wouldn't want POC instant tests ASAP. What does privacy have to do with it? The privacy remains, you just find out your results much quicker. Better all around. The CDC said as much in their article last month.

Since Triby's submittals are for 'testing apparatus' they are different from drug submissions. Once cleared, it really opens up a solid pipeline for further approvals. Triby said long ago it would be a long time. The Clark acquisition was a solid move in this direction because of people and lab resources already well acquainted with getting FDA approval for 'testing apparatus'.

2. SLF, SLF, SLF. We own the shares. SLF is squeling because again the capitalists are doing that capitilistic thing and they were outmanuevered. So they sued and now pay their lawyers to whine while they look for concessions.

3. Acquisition - who cares? I would if they bought at $6-8 but the story would die and I like the story. Perhaps you're right about the entanglements. Entanglements or poison pill? POC quick tests are the wave of the future. Cable TV, personal computers, HMO, etc were all small 'story' stocks at one point.

We are getting serious EPS growth. You should have here 1 to 1.5 years ago when we were still getting the first positive earnings. And now it looks like sales are getting to the $25-30 million range. This company has accomplished so much it really is amazing.

Philosophical Question for all: Does the grab for shares by the capitalists (Triby Board, et al) at an opportune time hurt shareholders when they are establishing themselves as the major shareholders? Are they not shareholders themselves? Do you think they are counting the share value at current or future value?
