James / Imperial Oil

As far as what happens after a stock split -- is and has been a debate for some time.

Many view Imperial Oil as being overvalued. Combine that factor with a negative market environment, I would guess shares will drift downward. That's a short term outlook.

If I had shares in the company, I would continue to hold for longer term appreciation. If I was accumulating shares for the long term, I would pause for awhile - until oil its $18.00/bbl. That will stop any near term downward movement in share price. Imperial is a great company to be invested in for the longer term.

Just one man's opinion
