Ceebs and other C3-ophiles:
One of my patients is a pawn broker. I asked him a few weeks ago if he had heard of moissonite. He replied he had just returned from a gemnology seminar which featured moissonite. He ordered the tester and samples from C3. He called me yesterday to invite me to look at the sample and see the tester work. The stone looked very fine indeed. Color and brilliance were wonderful. He told me that if someone had brought him the stone he'd have bought it as a diamond without question. The stone tested identically to a diamond in his ring on the traditional heat dispersion tester. Only the C3 instrument could distinguish the stone, and was very quick and convenient to use. I asked him about the double refraction and he said he could see it only with a loupe and then only through the radial view from the crown of the stone and that if the stone were in a setting that the effect couldn't be detected at all. Bottom line is that he thinks the stones will be a very big seller, and he is very impressed with the quality.
