LSI Logic Europe Announces New Appointments Within the Consumer

BRACKNELL, UK , May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- LSI Logic Europe has announced
the promotion of Jean-Luc Droitcourt to marketing director of the digital TV
strategic business unit. Droitcourt, an eight year veteran of LSI Logic (NYSE:
LSI), reports to Simon Dolan, vice president of marketing for the consumer
products division at LSI Logic's Milpitas, California headquarters. Prior to this
promotion, he was director of the consumer segment for LSI Logic Europe.
"Jean-Luc brings extensive consumer marketing experience into his new role and, in
particular, was instrumental in forging the relationship with the BBC in the
development of a single-chip DTT receiver, announced in June 1997," said Dolan.
"His worldwide responsibilities include terrestrial TV, the integration of digital
technology into the TV chassis and HDTV. He will continue to work in LSI Logic's
Paris office."
In a parallel move, Kenroy Francis was promoted to director of the European
consumer segment with European wide responsibility for marketing and field
application support across all LSI Logic consumer products.
Prior to joining LSI Logic in 1996, Francis held engineering positions at Hitachi
Europe and Thorn EMI Electronics. He received a B.Sc. (Hon) in computer
engineering from City University, London. As a chartered engineer, he is a member
of the Institute of Electrical Engineers.
