Right now, it seems like there are only two "shipping" suppliers of 2-way pagers: MOT and GEMS. It seems like GEMS may have chosen a good entry point into the pager business, where at least for the time being there is a "duopoly." That structure will hopefully tend to limit the sort of price war damage that has traditionally been associated with a large number of suppliers of subscriber equipment. GEMS will probably have especially good chances at the moment with buyers who have not been traditional buyers of MOT pagers, or who used MOT as a second source.
