This places an unfairly negative connotation on trading that's other than long term, I think. After all, there's no morality involved with trading as long as it's honestly approached. Holding on to a stock for only a few days, weeks, or months before selling isn't a divorce or unjustifiably breaking up with your girlfriend. It's making money, one hopes. Being a long-term speculator as opposed to a short-term speculator doesn't ipso facto grant one's investments the moral high ground. Moreover, I grant the same degree of loyalty to any given company as it does me. Still, I wish everybody luck in making money with this stock, long, short, or whatever.
