Well, I don't agree with Alomex's analysis, I do agree with the conclusion. I am not overly impressed with this offering. And while some may find it snazzy, others may find it too toy-like. Is it an expensive Nintendo? Could be they chose the design to make sure it would not eat into the office market? And a 33.6K modem doesn't hack it with the new 56K standard out there. Since this is a software modem, there is always a small possibility it could be upgraded to support 56K, I guess. Of course, it is a 24X, not a 4X CD-ROM, but I presume that was a typo on the thread. Software is pretty nice bundle, actually, if you have use for the database app. Now, what would really be a kick, is if you could order it in any of a RAINBOW of translucent colors. THAT would be a splash in the consumer market. Little Suzy can get a pink one, little Johnny wants a blue one, Dad wants a grey one. You listening, Apple!!! |
