John, I think he's referring to the past practice AOL had of tucking marketing expenses into an asset line called "good-will". They quit this practice a few quarters ago. It was a legal practice, but that "goodwill" account was getting to be pretty huge, so they took a "one-time charge" to expense a big chunk of it quite a while ago. All that number shifting was aggravating for people trying to get a read on how much money AOL is actually making.
