I don't think that someone who calls buyers of Dell suckers deserves any recognition or reply. We have read in the past weeks that some of the regulars and even some new people have recently bought Dell. I think any reference to people buying stocks as suckers indicates an inherent disrespect for everyone.

As for buying hard assets, we can only say 'to each his own'. It seems far fetched in today's world that hedging would revert back to something that doesn't accrue interest and that has additional fees for storage. I think the DM or SF have lately (in the past several years anyway) been used for hedging dollar weakness. But I'm sure you are aware of the available alternatives. Weekly Au looks weak.

Finally, the price of lettue and other vegetables has to do with El Nino and I can't for the life of me figure out how that got into this overall doom scenario.
