Sigmass,

Just saw your post to Shaq. I think you confuse commitment to service with maintenance issues. While it is true that a monitor may fail, and a handset may be dropped, most of the maintenance has to do with cleaning equipment and fixing light pens. As gross as it may sound, people like to chew on these devices, stick them in their ear, stir their coffee, etc. Halls also frequently change programs and pricing and they like to see us. GMTC technicians are strategically placed throughout the state to serve our customers. Our service support has been a tremendous marketing advantage and at this point is very efficient given the number of bingo halls and units in place. I appreciate you bringing this topic up, as this is an important competitive advantage that GMTC has over any existing or future competitor.

In my opinion the GMTC handset is the best technology on the market today. I am intrigued by the RF technology, but it simply is not reliable enough at this point. Color would also be nice, but battery technology needs to improve. Most problems with the GMTC handset are related to player abuse, but these can usually be quickly repaired. When we first introduced the handset, I was concerned about theft, but it has not been a problem.

I hope this helps you better understand the dynamics of the industry.
