Gaurav, good thread! Please police it to discourage shorters and other trash talkers from taking over. I have two items:

1) Re: your suggestion for customizable views, I recall seeing something to this effect in a recent mailing from E*Trade. I was unable to locate it in my files, but I remember it saying that customers would soon have the ability to configure their own personal screen profiles to include or exclude whatever options they like. Perhaps an E*Trade rep or other customer can explain this further.

2) My main suggestion for E*Trade would be to allow transfer of funds into and out of an account via EFT and wire transfer. This is the only feature which my old broker provided which E*Trade does not. It is inconvenient to have to deposit or withdraw funds via check. Deposit checks take an average of three days to reach E*Trade via mail from the east coast.
