Fibonacci, I didn't say he had no ties or he wasn't an employee (I said for all intents & purposes) from an official point of view. I said he has no day to day responsibilities. I was told this by Jim Steenbergen himself.

Now, if you know differently, if you know he has day to day responsibilities and is running a specific project/group/department I would like to hear about it since it would mean something changed very recently.

Why is it a big deal anyhow? Would Amati be finished without Cioffi? Do you have any reason to believe Cioffi is a great manager? Does being a brilliant scientist guarantee being brilliant at business or managing?

I am not Amati's or Cioffi's attorney so I wouldn't know if the agreement has been modified or not, but I do know what I was told and I have no reason to believe the CEO would lie about something like this. He didn't say Cioffi is no longer with Amati, he didn't say there is a problem with the relationship, he just said he is back at teaching and has no day to day responsibilities. What's wrong with that? Actually the way the agreement reads it's perfectly in synch with what I said in my post.

The point is nobody is going to get Cioffi's engineering or management by buying Amati if he is already serving at a more advisory/consulting capacity without day to day duties. Techie
