"Without a floppy or other type of removable media, the iMac is not suitable for the average consumer. It just becomes a Net PC. If it had a floppy and was sold into the education market, students would
want to have the same at home for file sharing. No floppy is a big mistake."

Pravin-

I totally disagree. The "imac" is definitely not bad for the education market. I am a senior and high school and my friends and I never need to store any data. High school students rarely have time to do any hard core stuff during school. Trust me. We barely have time to eat lunch! In some classes students even have a few zip drives to use. My best friend, who is was once a hard core pc user (I'm very forceful when it comes to changing people =) is planning to buy the i mac. What I found interesting yesterday was when I went into the library. I saw these new G3 desktops. Those babies are tight!! Amazing how SOME people think able is lagging in the education market. I'm sorry but some schools can only afford to change there machines every 20 years!! My accounting teacher still uses her Apple II for godsakes! Apple creates machines that are long lasting. Now I can't decide what I want for college. Powerbook? G3 Mini tower. Too many choices!!!
