Maybe I'm a zealot. Fine. The iMac is an instant collector's item. I'm forced to have nothing but respect and admiration for what Jobs and Apple have done, especially in such a heartless, GUTLESS industry. It's nice to see that there's something else out there other than the friggin' bottom line.

Don't worry, we'll wait until the effects of Jobs' presentation wear down from you.

Boy, is that guy a good speaker! For a while he made me get excited about translucent plastic.

The demo was great: "everything you see is coming from that little bag over there". Sounds impressive, doesn't it? Until you think twice and notice a sony watchman is smaller and could show the same demo.

I understand now why there are so many apple fanatics. Jobs personality is electrifying...

Today's announcements are good. They form part of a much needed evolution in Apple's product line. The computers are competitively priced, when you consider performance. That's it. Apple is not about to bring freedom to the oppressed world, nor is Jobs about to take all Apple users to a new nirvana. And no matter what he said, he cares about the bottom line. His actions have shown that, and I'm glad he does, as this has brought new life to Apple.
