The Statistics were published here some time ago

Frankly there isn't anything to argue about. Nt dominates the small server market. Go check the numbers. I posted them here once.

Novell's 3.X customers used their old Novell file servers as the data repository for custom written data base apps. It was simple file sharing stuff written in Dbase, Paradox etc. etc. Not Oracle client server. These people have gone with their VARs to NT. They now run the newer version of these customized apps on NT.

The truly stupid people are the ones who ignore what the marketplace tells them and support their own prejudices in the face of declining sales, revenues and profits.

Go find a story about NT small server customers switching back to Novell to run their database apps. When you find some evidence of this let me know. It will mean Novell is a good investment again.

With the current enterprise only strategy at Novell (what do you think all of Schmidt's touchy feely stuff with MSFT is all about anyway?) I'm looking towards another round of downsizing.
