K-2 Energy (KTO,TSE) is a company with a natural gas play of huge potential. Their web sight( www.k2energy.com ) gives a good picture of where the company is at and what the potential is. The article from Michael Scheafer's Outstanding Investments is especially interesting. Those interested in investments and/or speculations related to natural gas should be aware of this play and at the very least follow the story closely. American investors have raised their stake in the company from 2% to in excess of 20% over the last few months. That, coupled with K-2's recent affiliation with Raymond James, a brokerage firm with approx. 2500 offices across the U.S. should translate into substantially stronger demand for the stock when the necessary arrangements have been completed to allow drilling of their Montana property. The geology in question is very similar to geology straight north of the border in Canada which has yielded excellent drilling results for Canadian 88 who subsequently paid record prices for additional acreage in the area. K-2's property has the potential to host 6 to 11 trillion cubic feet of gas depending on which geological service you want to listen to. The higher estimates come from Canadian sources who are familiar with the work done in Alberta.
