Good evening Frank. Sorry for being so late. I was on the go all day and evening.

I guess we all know in the meantime that the market did not do too well today. Ms. Rivlin did her speech on CNBC. She was not too bad but she did mention the high stock market. When asked if she thought the market was in a bubble she said she did not think so. But the market started to go down big time after that anyway. Everybody is waiting for the employment number on Friday.

I watched some of the charts from the DAX they put on TV today. Those charts did not look too great. If Europe goes down, I guess we will too. And there is still worry that the Bundesbank will raise interest rates. That would bring the dollar down. It looks that we can't get clear sailing in the last year no matter what is going on. gg.

And the Asian effect is still touted.

Msft is really taking a beating now. It's down about 12 points since the talk came out about stopping the release of Windows 98 in June. But B. Gates had a meeting with the DOJ? last night and I heard today that they are still planning on bringing Windows 98 out in May or June.

Cisco did alright today but LU took a little beating. Could be because Cisco has this alliance with Dell now about bringing faster speed to the internet.

One of these days all my stocks will go up at the same time again. gg.

Maybe tomorrow the market will be acting friendlier.

Sonny

How about this Chrysler/Daimler stuff? I am not sure if this is good.
CPQ did great. I guess the DEC/CPQ deal will be voted on by DEC pretty soon. Um, um. Another 15.000 people out of work. Every time you turn around a lot of people in the cpt industry are losing their jobs. It makes you wonder why we need all that people import. Intel is laying off also. You would think that should take care of some of this shortage.

I also heard that this German company SAP is catching up with MSFT and there was an article saying that they think they could overtake MSFT in about 4 years. Everybody was making fun when B.Gates was mentioning that foreign competition could come in. Well, let the GVT fool around with Msft much longer, it could be sooner than we think.
