Well, a lot of people are chasing the antiangiogenesis companies. There is nothing so attractive as a stock with a good story, until the right questions are asked! There may be a good stock out there, but there sure are a lot of pitfalls betwix here and there. I never cease to be amazed at how mindless the market can be. Were I ever to be a short seller, I would be much tempted to wager a chip on the short side. And I really don't see myself buying more Igen. At my age, I consider margin a risk I don't wish to endure, and short of that my funds are too short. But I have a substantial position in the stock and I intend to maintain it so long as there is no material change in the condition of the company. I do have a couple of other fair sized holdings, and to one of those I have assigned a target price. Which means that if or when it hits the target, there could be more bucks to deal with. But I expect that to take several months, and by then I would expect Igen to be off and running again. All we can do is to wait, and watch. I regard the recent increase in the position of George Soros to be a hearty recommendation of the stock, and I do enjoy seeing continuing occasional signs of its vitality!! |
