I've been trying to skip read all these posts without getting involved, but sometimes one has to chip in at least 2› worth.

GUTLESS is the most appropriate adjective I've heard for the personal computer industry! The only successful REAL hardware innovation in PC systems architecture since 1980 has come from Apple Computer Corporation. All else have followed the Microsoft/Intel grapevine of evolutionary indifference.
