Michael, You deserve a direct response, and I was meaning to, but then Spots became the most recent message. I apologize for taking so long to respond. The clubhouse is meant to be light. The format is halfway between a discussion thread and a chat-room. You're right the View XX replies is bending the philosophy a bit, although we were careful not to put View XX replies on each of those replies, as that would result in people skipping posts entirely. While most of the ideas for SI originate from members, most of our decisions on what to implement next have been based on "what would Jeff and Brad like to use", because we've always seen ourselves as very close to the mainstream. I have never had the desire to view multiple messages on a page. I'm also very resistant to do anything that adds more complexity to the interface than we already have. I'll entertain the possibility that you are not in the minority. Do you think the desire for View Many Messages is driven by low-bandwidth connections? I can see how I might not be a typical user in terms of response time (seeing that the servers are next door). Brad
