The earnings, profit and growth for DCTM are totally boring - from a numerical perspective only. The company has beat estimates every quarter, has always been profitable, and has continued to increase revenue and profit at a completely predictble rate. I haven't seen anything to indicate they aren't executing to plan - bet on 85 by year end and 125 by mid to late 99 (adjusted for split's of course). In terms of technology and marketing FileNet (and the other lesser Doc Mgmt vendors) are far enough behind that unless DCTM has a true, unprecedented, screw-up they will eventually be forced into smaller and smaller niches. FileNet doesn't develop technology it buys it (kindof like CA). I find it interesting that Geoffery Moore ("Crossing the Chasm", "Inside the Tornado" and now "The Gorilla Game") felt comfortable enough to join the DCTM board - I'm sure he wouldn't want to ruin his reputation by endorsing (in a big way) anything less than a future "gorilla".
