Yes, it is very, VERY wrong and perhaps a figment of a child's (your) overactive imagination.

As an aside, did the doctor say anything at the time about your prospects for conceiving and bearing a healthy child? You did, didn't you? And, I might add, somewhat late in your reproductive life?
