Not sure if I was recommending Win NT to Mohan, just telling him how to use it. <g>
In any case, to answer your query - I don't know what features Win 98 will have, but as far as Win NT vs. Win 95, I know that Win NT is made for the business market and Win 95 is made for the home user. So Win NT has a lot of features that make sense for a LAN connected computer, such as the rsh command. Win 95 has plug and play, which makes it a lot more user friendly. My impression is that Win NT costs more because businesses can afford to pay more for an operating system. The next version of Win NT is supposed to have plug and play capabilities, but will not be released for another year or so. I'm also under the impression that Win 95 is a better game machine than Win NT. Some games (and other applications, too) take advantage of operating system internals that differ between the 2 operating systems, so they only work on 95. I know that the AOL client didn't work on Win NT a year ago, I don't know if this has been fixed yet. A friend of mine upgraded to NT for his home office use, and spent 2 weeks getting it to work properly (I think it was dial up networking and network drivers he needed to configure properly.) However, he seems to like it now that it finally works.
