The simple fact is that 75 percent of the top 20 global ISPs are Sun customers, according to New Century Communications. Further, the top seven backbone ISPs as detailed in the Fall 1997 issue of Boardwatch (MCI, Sprint, UUNET, AGIS, BBN, Digex, and CRL), use Sun solutions, representing 86 percent of the total backbone connections.
