Rudedog, no, that wasn't intended as an insult. windows-weenie is a euphormism for the young people in this field that think uSoft ubber alles and that Bill Gates IS God. I disagree with several stmts you make. 1.3 did make it to market, I thought it was severely kickass. Much smaller and much faster than 1.2 AND IBM did it without uSoft's help. GPI was far superior to GDI. IBM's SQL killed Cullinet so their marketing was sufficiently successful. I was there then, it was sad. The kids at uSoft dont get the big bonus program anymore, still no money, they get paid with the uSoft business card. Their development is in chaos now, no clear technology direction, merely destroy all competition. There are too many factions and no leadership any more. Gates has devoted significantly more and more of his time on other pusuits. People, the media, OEM's etc are afraid to say anything bad about them publically for fear of retrib
