CPQ/DEC layoff and write off. jbn3, That will be interesting to see how this termination of 15000 employees will affect the cpq's earnings,incremental or one time. For one thing the write-off will be quite hefty,probably +500 million dollars easy.Whether they write it off against CPQ or DEC [will that really matter for the new merged company?] I think the earnings will severely impacted.Mason and gang will surely find a way to do some funny stuff with the numbers,I am sure.
