Keep in mind that every year people buy tens of thousands, if not millions of
personal computers with no floppy disk. They are called laptops.

They do, however, have CD-drives (most of them anyhow). The question is, how are
you going to load software into the iMac then?


Huh? The iMac has a CD drive. Am I missing something?

That's a good point, though: it comes equipped with better means of installing new hardware than the average notebook. I have a hot-swappable floppy/CD slot on my PB3400. I've probably used the floppy about a dozen times in the last 8 months, and then only to install very old software, i.e. software that new computer buyers wouldn't have.
