Durro, thanks for your response and the informative information. The interesting thing about my situation is that I don't smoke, closely watch my diet, belong to a gym, etc. I have annual physical exams, and my cholesterol numbers were all in the normal range. My family background includes CAD on the side of both parents. When I invested in IMAT, I started to think that I should get a scan. Of course, not wanting bad news, I held off for a year until I decided to make an appointment. I went to UCLA for the scan. As I said in my previous posting, the scan came back with a high calcium score, so off to the cardiologist I went. After all the testing was completed, the doctor estimated that my blockages were less than 50%. I was than placed on a statin drug in order to get my LDL below 100. It came down to 89. I'll take another scan in about 6 months to see if the calcium score improves. (Sure hope it doesn't get any worse.) Do you have any information on how effective the statin drugs are in reversing the CAD process?

Again, thanks for the information you provided.
