Thanks for SGD's 1Q98 EDGAR Gordon , time to go to court Sales down and cost of goods sold was up due to increased advt for the product mix sold , but the comparison is against a remarkably good 1Q97 . The family lawsuit has become more than a distraction and SGD wants the trial over stating in the 10 Q : " The court has changed the trial date* in the Brooks case to June 15, 1998, although that date may be again changed, over the Company's objections, to a later time.* " SGD's advertising imprints brand identification in addition to prompting "at hand" sales . Effective advertising produces latent sales and quality products "repeat" business . SGD has both . Regards, Jim K.
