So you used all your powers of persuasion on the worker in the family...heh, heh! If she really wants to be in stocks and do better thab 6% try WTU, TRU, PBT. I think they will rise in price as defensive stocks. The yield may decrease but the stock price will compensate. WTU also has a tax advantage.
