It has yet to be proven that they have violated any law.

Factually this is not true. Microsoft has admitted on a number of occassions to activities that violate the law. Additionally, they have been successfully sued in court cases for violating copyright law. If you don't know about these instances, then you are not qualified to make the assertions you are making.
