Regarding the PE figures you reported, are you getting those from E*Trade? If so, you should be warned that their earnings and P/E figures are often wrong. I suspect that they are not subtracting one-time charges. Baseline's figures are more dependable, and they show P/Es of all three companies (AMAT, KLAC, and NVLS) being in the 20 to 22 range.
