Don't know why I picked that article. I was looking at a new computer from Hitachi last week. They had a flat panel display with all the hardware in the display box. It was so cool. Hard drive, modem, floppy, crdom, etc. all in the single display monitor. The foot print was very small. It was beautiful.

So, going forward I see prices on fpd's dropping fast. They say, over capacity will bring in competition. Sure there are issues to be worked out, but they are coming along. Again, saw a TV at Circuit City that was a fpd from Phillips. About 2 by 3 foot picture. Cost was 20,000. Last yearwas 150,000. Next year?

I had just assumed this was from Diamond Multimedia. Didn't notice it was another. I agree penny stocks are scarey, especially when competing in a market dominated by Korea and Japan.

So, I guess I injected this article to the PC Round Table as a statement that fpd is coming and will change the way we see computers.

To change subject, I got Dell's flier in the mail yesterday. They have a new desktop that I want. It's got a 400 PII, 64M DRAM (100 mhtz), 8.4 gig drive, 4M 3D graphics board, zip drive, etc all for $2499. I don't need a new computer, but this is too cool. By the way, add another 64M of memory for $180. Fast memory is very important to me.

I sure hope the other guys have gotten rid of their dead wood because they have got some stiff competition. By the way, Dell expects to have it on your door in 5 days.

Regards,

Mark
