NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 2, 1998--Latin American Casinos Inc. (NASDAQ:LACI) announced Monday that its wholly owned subsidiary, World's Best Rated Cigar Co. will officially open its factory on April 1, 1998. The company has an agreement with the largest supplier of the finest tobacco in the Dominican Republic who supplies exclusively to Arturo Fuente, a world reknown cigar maker, and now, to World's Best Rated Cigar Co. as well.

Latin American Casinos Inc.'s fourth quarter results will be announced within the next three weeks. Lloyd Lyons, CEO of LACI said he believes the company will be profitable.
The company remains financially strong with over $9.5 million in assets, of which $3.1 million is in cash and cash equivalents,
6,000 slot machines in inventory, no debt and a tax-loss carry forward of $757,000. The company has slot machine gaming
routes and remains the largest slot machine rental and remanufacturing company in Central and South America. The company
has 3.3 million shares outstanding.
