Mark re: >"If the Feds break MSFT into, for example, Applications (word, excel, etc), Tools (VC,VB), OS (95,98,NT) wouldn't it make sense for the Tools company to buy BORL rather than spend the time to ramp up on apps that closely follow the standards (Java/CORBA)?

I guess MSFT can become like AT&T did with LU, NCR and T and sstart buying up the smaller successsful tools etc. But I was thinking more along the lines of Miscrosoft being a SW company would effect all SW companies if major impact like government control happens. But it can also be good for other SW companies if Miscrosoft is made to curtail it's own competitive prowess! So I was throwing the question out to get a better feel of what Borl investors think? In the long run I guess it makes no difference what happens to Miscrosoft as far as INPR is concerned. It's more important what happens with IBM, ORCL and CA for INPR.
